Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built by by the 5th Muslim Mogul emperor Shah Jahan to honor the memory of his beloved late wife.
It is built out of white marble and stands in formally laid-out walled
gardens. The Taj Mahal is regarded as perfect example of Muslim
art in India. Shah Jahan was consequently jailed and it is believed that he was able to see the Taj Mahal only out of his small cell window.
